In her present role, Lauren collaborates with clients to enhance business performance by fostering more diverse, inclusive, and innovative cultures. Her guiding philosophy is straightforward yet powerful - acknowledging that when individuals feel valued and included, they are not only happier and healthier but also perform better at work. Lauren is internationally recognised as a leader in diversity and inclusion, distinguished for her prowess as a facilitator, presenter, and executive coach. Lauren also works as an Associate Consultant with globally renowned Leadership and Culture firm, ByMany.
Lauren's professional journey includes impactful roles both as a consultant and within corporates. She held the position of Head of Executive Communications and Employee Engagement for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Based in Singapore, she played a pivotal role in formulating internal communication and employee engagement strategies, leading the pan-APJ team in their execution. Lauren also provided primary support to the AWS APJ Vice President in both internal and external communications. Her leadership saw the successful launch of various virtual leadership, wellbeing, and cultural awareness initiatives, significantly boosting employee engagement during the challenging lockdowns of the Covid pandemic. Lauren's ascent to this role followed her success in developing and implementing AWS's inaugural Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity strategy for the APJ region.
Before her tenure at AWS, Lauren spent two years at the helm of her consulting business, Frankly Diversity. During this time, she designed and delivered a diverse range of programs spanning diversity, culture, leadership, and business transformation for clients across various industries. Prior to launching Frankly Diversity, Lauren served as the National Manager of Diversity and Inclusion at Australia Post, playing a pivotal role in the culture transformation of this iconic organisation. Her team's efforts yielded significant results, positioning the company as a national leader in diversity and inclusion. Earlier in her career, Lauren served as a management consultant with PwC and the Mettle Group, where she honed her strategic and advisory skills.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Lauren is an avid sports lover and is especially passionate about women in sport. She has competed at national and international level in track and field and holds qualifications as a personal trainer, embodying her dedication to health and wellbeing. Currently, Lauren serves as a non-executive director of the Tasmania JackJumpers National Basketball League (NBL) team, contributing her strategic people and culture insights to the sporting arena.
In her personal life, Lauren and her husband, Lucas, take immense pride in their role as parents to three young daughters: Milla, Frankie, and Lily.
